Car import timings from Japan to Zimbabwe
Importing a car from Japan to Zimbabwe takes between 46-49 days depending on the port you choose.
Shipping takes approximately 30 days to Dar, 31 days to Maputo and 32 days to Durban.
The stages to import your car are broken down as follows:
Days 1 - 11: Deregistration commences, shipping booked and delivered to the port.
Days 12 - 15: Packed and loaded onto the ship.
Days 16 - 46: Shipped to your preferred port.
Days 47 - 49: Unloaded, cleared, registered and transported to Zimbabwe.

There are no age restrictions for used car imports into Zimbabwe. Import duties, taxes and fees will apply. We recommend that you employ a licensed clearing agent to assist you. The Customs and Excise Act requires that clearing agents are licensed by Zimra annually.
